I just rescued what im almost positive is a german shepherd puppy and am trying to figure out how im gonna train her and work with her as she grows.

you don't know the effect of this shit! there is no enough scientific research that proves that those f.king collars don't harm dogs brain activity. yet you still use. just for money. congrats

I know this sounds crazy, but I just started implementing some of these techniques with my yellow lab and in on one day, he has improved immensely! I found the prong collar is a tool that works for us and it is absolutely my fault he is reactive. My confidence when handling him is so low and I'm always afraid of other dogs and people. Once I changed my demeanor, he changed also. We have a lot of work to do, but I'm hopeful! I see many long walks in our future!

I have watched a buncha vids. I don't get it I have never had a dog act like any of them in the videos. From my grandpa's hounds to my huskies. No create training. No obedience. The only issues I've ever had is how they love to find dead animals and bring them to me. They run around the property with no leash and never run off. They stay right next to me at all times, they both go out fishing with me on the boat and never have any issues.I Don't get how dogs come to behave like this l.

omg its so funn how the americans say boerboel it sounds so funny, as a south africa with friends and family that own that dog i can confirm that its a very good breed and ps some say it was made for fending off lions and hyhenas which is so fake they would get teared apart.

Well I have to try this. We have had our dog for a year now and he is soon 3 years old. He has gotten better with people but not at all with dogs. I really hope this can work. What I know of, in Denmark we only have trainers who use positive reinforcement. That's great for some things but with other dogs... it seems hopeless.

So I searched for a video where I could find out how to train a dog with an e collar. I have been dealing with dogs almost my whole life.... I am not a behavioralist though. So when I started rescuing some dogs that were high anxiety I realized my house became various areas sectioned off to avoid conflict. I came to this video with intentions on learning how to get my dogs to stop bad behavior. I watched about 20 minutes of this and hand to take a break. I thought about it throughout the day. That night something dawned on me. I made a connection with this video with something in my past. This stirred up memories of having started going to a church and raising my daughter. I was taught to spank my child with a kind heart but firm "rod". I was told to continue correction until the gave up their will and "broke" and finally would bend to my will. Needless to say this broke my heart. One day I spanked my 6 year old over 14x staying as calm as I could and without anger. In fact, I was in pain myself. I was physically hurting my child until their will broke.... 😢. This video is the same. Physically reprimand the dog until it breaks and does what you want. I don't see how this is love or kind. This video has made me also remember years ago with my 2nd dog we hired a military style trainer-- she chocked my dog in the air with two feet off the ground until her will broke.... WTF. This is the same-- you are taught to physically make an unpleasant physical pressure to a dog until it's will bends to yours.... To each our own, but that isn't love, that is a slave.
